Sew Sew – Nice Things Made by Nice Hands

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year all! Christmas came and went far too fast for my liking, though there are still several boxes of chocs that need polishing off so all is not lost!  Now the tree is down and the gifts have been given I can share some handmade treats I'd been keeping under wraps that I made for friends and family! I love giving handmade presents at Christmas but seeing as I hand make all sorts of things for a living most Christmas gifts become abandoned as I work through all the Christmas orders. Not this year though! Yarn was ordered in the summer and plans were made early, I was determined to have at least a few presents made instead of the frantic run around the shops last minute! So here they are! The first two are my own design and pattern but the bottom is from a pattern I bought by the awesome SpillyJane! If you haven't seen her work check her out here! It was what made me want to learn how to colour work and this Flamingo pattern was the first thing I attempted (I know, a bit adventurous!) Just to be clear the Flamingo mitts pictured are not the first attempt, that would the one sad fingerless version lurking around in my stash upstairs! Luckily I kept trying and I'm pretty happy with how they turned out!
